Fort Edmonton’s Halloween Scare Event DARK is back (now through Nov. 1) with several unique experiences.

The 3rd annual DARK Halloween scare event is here for one spine-tingling month. Curious thrill-seekers will be treated to ghoulish and ghastly scares both virtually and in-person within the deep dark confines of the River Valley. Whether in your home or at the park, DARK is coming for you.

In one experience called DARK Paranormal Investigation, guests will learn on-site about the science of paranormal investigations and the tools that are used to detect entities. Not suitable for those under 16. AHS COVID–19 health and safety protocols will be followed.

DARK ESCAPE: In this virtual Escape Room experience presented by Escape City, a ghost has checked into the Hotel Selkirk. A world-renowned ghost hunter brought into the hotel needs help to outsmart the grisly ghoul. With a purchased ticket, DARK fans can gather at home for this nail biting virtual quest and complete the murderous mission before the clock runs out.

DARK Mixology: Whip up a frenzy – and Halloween themed cocktails - sure to satisfy and scare friends. DARK has paired up with Strathcona Spirits, where a purchased event ticket includes virtually guided instructions and a Spirit Box filled with a variety of spirits and cocktail mixes.

In addition, DARK fans can partake in free virtual events: The weekly Instagram Live Quiz Night with questions of terror and petrifying prizes; and a cool costumed Halloween virtual DJ dance party The ‘Raveyard on Oct. 31, to cap off a disturbingly delightful month of terror and fun.

“DARK has always been a top destination of Edmonton’s Halloween season, and although the events look a bit different, this year is no exception,” said Darren Dalgleish, President & CEO, Fort Edmonton Management.

DARK is set to scare on evenings through Nov. 1, 2020. In Fort Edmonton Park, AHS COVID–19 health and safety protocols will be followed including physical distancing, mask-wearing and extensive cleaning of touched surfaces. Participants will also be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to attending. More info and tickets at:
