The Third ACTion Film Festival offers more this winter, with online viewings and watch parties scheduled. On Dec. 30, the organization is showing Ice Mother from 7-9 pm. The film is the story of 67 year-old Hana, the good soul of her family. Every week her sons and their wives come over for a family dinner--a tradition not to be changed.

Selfless, Hana takes care of little Ivanek, who isn't cherishing his grandmother's help. Hana also supports her son with money whenever he asks--and he asks a lot. A warm-hearted yet modest person, Hana lives alone in the old family house without changing a thing since her husband's passing. She might need help, but both her sons are too busy and too selfish to see it.

One day, Hana meets Brona and finds a new social circle. Light-hearted Brona inspires Hana's lust for life. They become lovers, but when she introduces him to her sons, the family is shocked. In a series of events and dark secrets, Hana stands up and starts changing her life.
