Albertans are invited to indulge in the vibrant culture of the Caribbean with foods, exotic cocktails, music and dance at the 3rd Annual Cocktails and Jerk Festival, September 1-3, 2023, at Dr. Wilbert McIntyre (Gazebo) Park (8303 104 Street) in the heart of Old Strathcona.

The festival promises an electrifying mix of musical genres pulsating with Caribbean energy and Afro rhythms. Renowned DJs, mesmerizing dancers, and world-class talents, including Grammy Award winner Jemere Morgan and the youngest Juno Award winner Kairo McLean will hit the stage, along with a slate of others. The family-friendly festival is for kids of all ages, with face painting, arts and crafts, and games on offer too. Festival producer Dewayne Taylor said the goal's event is to immerse the people of Alberta in Caribbean culture while showcasing musical talents, food vendors, and artisans.

"The space adjacent to the Old Strathcona Farmer's Market is an ideal location, offering guests a variety of food vendors, entertainment, and an all-around fantastic time. Everyone can anticipate tantalizing food, positive vibes, wonderful company, and infectious rhythms," said Taylor.
