Fans of Alberta Avenue's Kaleido Fest are in for a change and a treat this September. This weekend, September 10-12, Arts on the Ave is bringing Kaleido to city streets (alleys, pocket parks, you name it) with Kaleido on Tour 2021: Dancin' in the Street.
Organizers say Kaleido has been 'radically reimagined' to ensure the safety and health of their team, performers and spectators. Described as a spontaneous extension of a summer-long celebration of music, art and magic, Kaleido is a physically-distanced, free event.
Visitors will enjoy musicians, street performances and visual artists on front porches, balconies, outdoor rinks and parks throughout the Alberta Avenue district (from NAIT to Northlands, 75 Street to 106 St./111 Ave-Yellowhead). Whether on flatbed trucks or stages at select parks and large open areas, Kaleido aims to entertain where folks can safely watch and enjoy the show.
