The world is reacting to beautiful new photos of Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge, released to mark her 40th birthday.
The glamorous portraits, taken in November by fashion photographer Paolo Roversi, show The Duchess in a more relaxed manner with hair in long, loose waves, big smiles and red and white colours. She is wearing Alexander McQueen dresses, as well as earrings that belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales, and others loaned by the Queen.
Catherine thanked people for their "very kind birthday wishes" and Roversi for "these three special portraits".
The photos were taken at the Royal Botanic Kew Gardens in Richmond and will enter the permanent Collection of the National Portrait Gallery, where The Duchess is a Patron.
