Once again, the Edmonton Fringe hosts a live telethon event, Wednesday July 27 from 12pm – 8pm. Started during the pandemic as a way of supporting live theatre and Edmonton's theatre artists at a critical time, the telethon has become a tradition.

This year, the 3rd Annual Fringe Theatre Telethon brings a wealth of live performances, Festival sneak peeks, artist interviews and, as always, fringe shenanigans. Every dollar from the Edmonton Fringe Telethon supports the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.

Running live from Noon - 4pm (telethon loops on FringeTV from 4pm - 8pm) at the Westbury Theatre in the ATB Financial Arts Barns building, (10330 84 Ave NW), the event is hosted by Murray Utas, Edmonton Fringe artistic director, and Megan Dart, Executive Director of Edmonton Fringe.

“When you get involved with Fringe Theatre you contribute to the artistic community in Edmonton,” said Utas. "You become a part of the magic that makes fringing possible. You give life to art, you champion creativity, and you elevate our city in the global arts community. Every donation is extremely important, valued, and needed for us to keep Fringing in the future.”

Fringe lovers can donate online at as well as by calling 780-448-9000. Phone lines will be open from 12pm – 8pm.

The 41st Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is back in all its glory in 2022 with Destination Fringe! It all kicks off with the Welcome Back Street Party August 10th from 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. in ATB (McIntyre) Park. 83rd Avenue and 104 Street.  Edmonton Fringe will be announcing the full stage line-up of performers at the Telethon.
