The ‘WBS book’ has little to say about genealogies. Commentators suggest ‘back then’ that people would show their distinguished lineage in order to settle arguments or to prove a point of superiority. It seems wise to believe if a person is a less than a decent person, the best genealogy in the world is not is not going to alter that fact...

Both my wife and I were born in the UK, of good stock! Our family is anything but ‘frightfully British’; it has turned into a melting pot of the United Nations. Who needs a lineage chart...they get along fine without one!

Pssst...I had a DNA testing courtesy of one of my daughters.... 91% British, and then 500 to 1000 years ago, 5% Scots/Irish, 2% Swedish and 2% Norwegian... Oh, those marauding invaders!

What else did I discover? I was given information related to four second cousins and about a dozen third cousins. Three of the second cousins I already knew, and I made contact with the fourth. I have contacted one of the third...

No signs of royalty....
