“One of the biggest things that I want is to be that kind of role model for football in St. Albert,” said Philip. “It's awesome for these young kids to see that it is possible coming out of St. Albert ... just put your head down, get your school done, and then it’ll pay off."

Russell, who has served five terms as a city councillor, said if elected he would like to focus on transparency, cutting city spending, and increasing the number of smaller homes in St. Albert.

“I’m very excited. I’ll be taking a strategic look at the emergency services department over the course of the coming weeks and months, and that will allow me a solid understanding of St. Albert’s operations.”

The Canada-Alberta Livestock Feed Assistance Initiative through AgriRecovery will help cover feed and water access costs for breeding female livestock across the province.
