Alberta skies may not have yet cleared, but sunny things are happening in the province. In this week's Bright Side, we have a story on the local 40th anniversary of Faith and Light, an organization for people with developmental disabilities and their families. Offering support and spiritual nourishment, the St. Albert group is a beacon for those who want connection, care and to share experiences.
It was a spiritual experience of a sort on a recent visit to Lake Louise, an absolute gem in the province. It's one of the most-photographed spots in Canada and even the world, and Albertans can sometimes take it for granted: an iconic destination in our very own back yard. And now's the time to visit Lake Louise and our mountain parks, before international travel makes our wide open spaces a little busier.
Foodies take note: a new Italian Centre Shop opens this week in Sherwood Park, and it's a beauty. With Italian-influenced architecture that gives the feel of an Roman piazza, it's a must-visit spot. Bonus: the shop makes its own gelato--hazelnut is the bomb. See our story at albertaprimetimes.com on the opening.
Don't miss the good news that's out there: subscribe to the Bright Side weekly newsletter, and our daily headlines too. We'll keep you in the loop.
Enjoy the gelato Alberta!
