On Saturday, January 2, 2021 Mary Ann Bougie (nee Besaraba) of Bonnyville, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years, with her son by her side. Mary Ann is lovingly survived by her children: Bernie (Brenda) Bougie of Lac La Biche, AB, Philip Bougie of Edmonton, AB, Anna Maria Blair of Red Deer, AB; grandchildren: Kyle Bougie (Kirsten Wallace) of Edmonton, AB, Shaundra (Jeff) Voyageur of Morinville, AB, Annika Blair of Red Deer, AB, Donovan Blair of Red Deer, AB, Blaine Kruger of Phoenix, AZ; great grandchildren: Jaxon Voyageur & Jase Voyageur both of Morinville, AB; sisters: Agnes Sawchuk of Bonnyville, AB, Stella Grubisa of Kamloops, BC; nephew: Gerald Grubisa of Kamloops, BC; special friend & sister-in-law: Jeanette Bourget of Bonnyville, AB; special friends: Sue Mereniuk of Edmonton, AB, Alec Dubas of Red Deer, AB; special friend & former daughter-in-law: Lisa Taylor of Edmonton, AB; special friend & former son-in-law: Derek Blair of Red Deer, AB. Mary Ann was predeceased by her loving husband: Denis Bougie on April 14, 2019; mother: Anna Besaraba in 1967; father: Aleksander Besaraba in 1970; brother: Frank Besaraba; brothers-in-law: John Sawchuk, Gaetano Grubisa; nephews: Leonard Ciurysek, Kenneth S. Ciurysek; great nephew: Steven Alexander Ciurysek. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Mary Ann will be held at a later date at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, AB.
