Mr. Dennis Roy Waller of Okotoks passed
away at the High River Hospital on
January 13, 2023. Dennis will be sadly
missed by his wife Marjorie, Daughter Lynda,
Son-in-law Arley and Grandchildren Lauren and
Jack (Emily).

Dennis was born in Luton, Bedfordshire,
England. He was the much loved and only child
of Frank and Edna Waller.

Dennis grew up during the Second World
War and he and his Mum experienced many
challenges while his Dad was away helping with
the war effort.

In his adult life Dennis had a long and successful
career in Insurance sales and later was well
known as the owner and operator of the Rose
and Crown Public House in Yardley Hastings,
Northamptonshire alongside his wife and
partner Marjorie.

In 2000 Dennis and Marge emigrated to Canada
to be with their daughter Lynda and her family.
Dennis became well known in Okotoks as the
bagel man at Sobeys.

Dennis was extremely proud of his family
and especially the accomplishments of his
grandchildren.

Dennis was a cricket fan while he lived in
England. After his move to Alberta he became
a huge Calgary Flames fan and never missed
a game.

At Dennis’ request no service will be held.
The family would like to thank Dr. Alex Fay
and the nursing and health care team on
unit 300 for their kindness, compassion and
exceptional care shown to Dennis and our
family. Memorial donations may be made to the
