Brian James Hill was born in Edmonton, Alberta on January 2, 1968 and passed away of a major heart attack on December 12, 2021 at 53 years of age.

He was predeceased by both his father, James Archie Hill and, his step father, Peter Paul Mihailuk and both sets for grandparents.

Brian leaves the mourn his loss, his son: Jeffery Burston; daughter: Kaylin Hill; mother: Irene Mihailuk; sister: Christina “Tina” (Neil) Lievers; brother: Gordon Hill, Larry (Amber) Hill and various nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

As a young boy, Brian always had an ability to draw. He would see a small picture of a car or a hockey player and would draw it into a perfect 8 x 11 replica of the picture. When he got older, he taught himself himself how to paint pictures by watching an artist instruction show on TV. He also taught himself how to cook by watching cooking shows. The group of friends in Calgary had BBQ Chef Competitions for fun and Brian won some of those of which he was very proud.

Brian worked at West Edmonton Mall as a night maintenance worker for about 15 years. Then he married and decided to move to Calgary with his family to work for his brother, Gordon, doing stucco work in the house building industry. They worked together for 25 years until the economy failed and Gordon was forced to shut his business down. After that Brian got a job working for a lawn maintenance company until his passing. In the summertime, they mowed and maintained lawns and in the winter shovelled show.

Brain will be greatly missed. He gave his heart to the Lord at about 15 years of age and we are certain he is in heaven with Jesus.

Brain’s Memorial Service will be held at Athabasca Reformed Church on June 18th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. A lunch will be served following the service and interment will follow later at Richmond Park Cemetery where his step father Peter is buried.
