It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Jacura of St. Paul, Alberta. She was called home into the arms of our Lord at the glorious age of 99 years. Mary was born on March 1, 1922 in Brosseau, Alberta to proud parents, Steve and Veronia Sherstianka. She was raised in a modest and humble setting with an appreciation for faith, family and a dedicated work ethic. She blossomed into a lovely and graceful young lady who captured the heart of a strong and hard-working gentleman, Mike Jacura. They were married in May of 1941 and were blessed with five children. Mary was a generous and devoted woman who enjoyed gardening, baking, attending church and spending precious moments with her family and many friends. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. Left to mourn her passing and to celebrate her life include her five loving children, Victoria Hebert, Rita Renauld, Barbara Sydora, Valerie Sydora and Roy Jacura; her cherished seventeen grandchildren; forty-one greatgrandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren; along with the numerous friends she made throughout her lifetime. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mike in 1993; five sisters, four brothers and one precious great-grandchild, Lucas Renauld. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caretakers at Sunnyside Manor and the staff at the Extendicare for their compassionate care and dedication.
