We announce the passing of Jorgen Ansholm
Rasmussen on January 13, 2023. He died
peacefully at the age of 85 years old. Jorgen was
born in Nørre Nebel, Denmark in 1937, and met
and married his wife Hanne in 1962. He was one
of the first importers of Jonsered chainsaws into
Denmark, and ran a very successful company
for many years.

In 1980, Jorgen, Hanne, and their four children
immigrated to Canada and settled into the
Okotoks area. Jorgen produced and sold “Danish
Kisses,” a sweet meringue treat, before starting
a tortilla chip manufacturing company, Del
Comal, a robust family business that operated in
Okotoks and Claresholm for 25 years.
Jorgen was predeceased by his sister Grete
Rasmussen.

Jorgen is survived by wife of over 60 years,
Hanne, his four children Ulla (Kevin), Kirsten,
Soren (Susan), and Bente (Jason), as well as ten
grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He
is also survived by his younger brother, Knud
(Gitte) in Denmark.

In keeping with Jorgen’s wishes, there will be
no funeral service. The family will hold a private
memorial.

Thank you to the staff at Tudor Manor for their
