Vince died peacefully on November 10th, 2022. He is lovingly remembered by Jane, his wife of 55 years, his son Damien, daughter-in-law Marina and cherished grandchildren Senna and Gavin.

Vince was the 2nd youngest of 13 children born in Dublin, Ireland on April 6th, 1937. He was always very proud of his Irish heritage but embraced Canada when he moved here in 1958. Vince enjoyed sports and played rugby for a variety of regional teams and organizations throughout BC and Alberta. He was honored to represent this country playing Rugby in 1962.

Vince and Jane ultimately settled in St. Albert, their home for 48 years. Vince worked in commercial real estate and was active in a variety of communities in the city. He played tennis, spent time at the library, was a parishioner at Holy Family Church and enjoyed walks along the river. He was well known for his warm smile and friendly nature.

On November 13th, 2022, a private service was conducted by his brother, the Reverend Father Patrick Moroney OMI, in the chapel at Foyer Lacombe.

The family would like to thank the staff of Unit 2 at Youville Home for their compassion and support throughout his time in extended care.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Covenant Health Youville Home in St. Albert or to a charity of your choice in Vince’s memory.
