September 22, 1937 – March 27, 2021
Mr. Norman Gene Carlson of High River, Alberta passed away at Care West Royal Park in Calgary on March 28, 2021 at the age of 83 years.
Norman was born in Cardston, Alberta on September 22, 1937. He was predeceased by his parents John and Blanche Carlson as well as his brother Carl. He is survived by his two sisters Doris Hayley and Estrid Nagata. He is also survived by his nephew Monty Johnson and niece Shelly Mueller as well as numerous great nephews and nieces.
Norman will be remembered and sadly missed by his very caring brother-in-law Karl Johnson and his partner Doreen.
Norman’s passion was perusing auction sales and adding many antiques to his vast collections. Those who knew Norm witnessed this passion as he dug through a pile of steel or a box of junk looking for that one item to add to his collection.
The family wish to extend a special thank you to his angel caregivers and all staff at Care West Royal Park for caring for Norm the past few years.
Many thanks also go to his great nephew Ryan Willing who was always there to assist his Uncle Norman when he needed help on the farm.
Very special thanks also go to his good friends Kim Pyett and his partner Marie for their loving care and dedication to Norman.
At Norman’s request, no funeral service will be held.
