On June 2, 2022, Adélard went into the arms of his Lord and Saviour at the age of 91.

 

He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Rose Marie (née Behm); children, Cherie, Mélanie, and Kevin; grandchildren, Nicolette (Leonardo) Ouimet-Cortes, and Christopher; brother Laurier (Harriette); numerous relatives and friends.

 

Adélard was predeceased by his parents, Alexis and Lucile (née Mireault); and by siblings, Denis, Alexia, Bernadette, and Hubert.

 

Adélard was a dedicated man, both to his family and his vocation. In the 50’s he worked for the Alberta Department of Highways, and later on the DEW Line in the North throughout Alaska, the Yukon, NWT to Baffin Island. In the 60’s Adélard worked on the Brazeau Dam. His main career was as a heavy-duty mechanic for Ferguson Supply/Blackwood Hodge. Adélard was a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus in St. Albert and was involved in numerous volunteer roles in his Church and in his community.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 7508 29 Avenue NW, Edmonton.
