ROBINSON, Patrick Dominik “Pat”
With heavy hearts the family of Mr. Pat Robinson of Newbrook, AB announces his passing on August 30, 2021
Pat was born on February 18, 1936, at Newbrook, AB. After school Pat worked a variety of jobs in Edmonton, AB. He started working on oil rigs in the late 1950’s and in 1961 went to work on oil rigs in Libya. When not working he spent his time on the Island of Malta. It was in Malta that he met Joan Foster from England and in 1963 they were married. They moved to Alpen Siding where Pat managed a Peat Moss plant until 1977. After leaving the peat moss plant he worked as a welder starting his own business and operated it until his retirement.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, fixing things, travelling and most of all spending time visiting family and friends.
Pat is survived by two sons: Allan (Laurie) and Mark (Carrie); three grandsons: Stephen (Kristen), Dylan and Branden as well as other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Joan; parents, Joseph and Sophie; sister, Beatrice and brother, Richard.
Patrick’s families are respecting his wishes to be cremated with no service.
