Bonnie May (Burk) Ruttle, passed away peacefully in her home at Points West Living, in Red Deer, on March 21, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

Bonnie was born by the creek on the family homestead outside of Meath Park, Saskatchewan on April 15, 1936. She lived there with her parents and two brothers until later in her youth when her family moved to a farm outside of Red Deer, Alberta and added two more siblings. Bonnie graduated from Red Deer Composite High School, met and then married Bryce Ruttle on March 13, 1954. They started a family in Red Deer and later moved to Markerville to raise their four children. Bonnie became a hairdresser and maintained her business within the family home in Markerville. She was an avid curler and golfer. She loved to travel and enjoyed socializing with friends at the Innisfail Legion. Bryce and Bonnie then retired in Innisfail where Bryce operated his own company.

Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Harbourne and Belinda Hansen, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Richard Burk.

Bonnie is predeceased by her husband Bryce, son Brian Ruttle and daughter Brenda McCratic, two brothers and one sister.

In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. In memoriam, you are welcome to toast to her life at the Innisfail Legion at your leisure.
