SCHILDER, Cheryl-Ann

Posted

August 03, 1963 -January 20, 2023

Cheryl passed away at Sturgeon General Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Left to mourn her loss is her partner of 36 years Allen Dean Nordholt. In addition, her mother Gerda Schilder, her son Alex Schilder, her two grandsons Ryker and Carter and the grandsons’ mother Robyn Zinnek.

Cheryl spent her entire life living in the community of St. Albert, she had numerous lifelong friends and many other family members including many beloved nephews and nieces. So many people will miss Cheryl as she not only did all her schooling in St. Albert, she also worked in many jobs in the community over the years.

Cheryl’s passion in life was her family, Dean and her home. Cheryl loved decorating, she loved the hunt for beautiful antique pieces and created many beautiful vintage arts from what she had collected over the years. She was very artistic and creative, enjoying the end result of a beautiful warm home for family and friends to delight in.

Cheryl also loved gardening and had created a beautiful oasis in their backyard. Cooking was something Cheryl enjoyed and loved using all fresh vegetables from her huge backyard garden that she and Dean grew every year together.

She was a voracious reader and if she didn’t have a book in her hand there was always a few books on the coffee table beside her as she always had more than one book on the go.

Cheryl loved the time spent with her grandsons who were her pride and joy. She was actively involved in their life and she was happy to have been able to spend her last Christmas at home surrounded by her family whom she adored and loved.

Cheryl was predescessed by her father Tony Schilder in 2000, and sadly her brother Bill Schilder in 2020.

In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to your local SPCA, or The Cross Cancer Institute.

Arrangements will be made for a memorial for Cheryl at a later date.
