Lillian Seifridt

February 20, 1933 – November 23, 2022

The family of Lillian Seifridt are saddened to announce her passing on November 23, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Lilly was born on February 20, 1933 in Vermillion, Alberta. In 1935, Lilly’s parents, Fred and Mary, moved their family to a homestead north of Grassland. She went to school at East Green Pine until 1939, before the school burned down and was later rebuilt.

On November 5, 1950, she married Reinholdt Seifridt of Ellscott, where Reinholdt had a farm. Her first son, Ron Jr., was born in July of 1951, followed by the birth of her second son, Garry Allan, in January of 1959. Over the years, Lilly worked by Reinholdt’s side and performed all of the farm duties.

In 1991, Lilly moved into a house in Boyle which she lived in until 2015. At that point, she moved to the Wildrose Villa.

She is survived by her two sons: Ron Jr. (Diana) and Garry (Kris); five grandchildren: Clayton (Stephanie), Corey, Ross (Sarah), Shelley (Jeff), and Devon (Jason); seven great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; her sister Ann Pariseau; and her brother Fred Burke.

Lilly was predeceased by her father, Fred (1967); her mother, Mary (1993); her beloved husband, Reinholdt (2009); her sister, Olga (2011); and her brother-in-law, Ken Pariseau (2020).

A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00am at the Boyle Community Centre with Reverend Rose Howell officiating.
