1 dead, 6 injured after police get call about shots fired at Edmonton lounge

EDMONTON — Police in Edmonton say one man is dead and multiple others were injured following a shooting at a lounge.

Police say they were called early Saturday to a report that multiple shots were fired at the lounge, located at 124 Street and 118 Avenue northwest of the city's downtown.

They say they found multiple victims outside the business when they arrived.

Two females and four males were transported to hospital with various injuries, while another injured male made it to hospital on his own.

One man died and police say two other people remain in hospital in serious condition.

Police say a vehicle they believe is connected with the shooting was later recovered in the northern neighbourhood of Schonsee, and they're asking people there to check dash cam or security video for suspicious activity.
