ACHESON, Alta. — The RCMP say they are investigating after a young boy died following a house fire Sunday evening in Acheson, Alta, just west of Edmonton.
Parkland Mounties say they, along with local fire and emergency personnel, were called to the scene around 6 p.m.
They say that after the fire was extinguished, a three-year-old boy was found during a search of the residence.
They say EMS provided first aid but the child died at the scene.
Police say all other occupants of the home were accounted for and that none were injured.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and police say no further information will be provided at this time as they continue their investigation.
