The northbound lanes of Highway 2 at Highway 72 north of Airdrie have been closed Wednesday morning due to a collision.
At 8:19 a.m., Airdrie Rural RCMP advised that fire department crews and EMS are on scene with RCMP for a series of collisions on Highway 2.
One is at Yankee Valley Boulevard and a second at Highway 2 and Highway 72 north of Airdrie and south of Crossfield.
The northbound lanes of Highway 2 at Highway 72 have been closed.
These investigations are in their early stages. There will be a further release once the highway is re-opened. Airdrie RCMP are recommending motorists avoid travel in this area.
