Residents are reminded to use caution around deer after aggressive animals were reported on Nov. 3.

The Town of Okotoks is warning residents after aggressive deer were reported today.

The deer were reported in the Drake Landing Terrace area.

Signs have been posted and residents are reminded to use caution or avoid the area, the Town said.

The Town reminds people to give deer space, keep dogs on a leash, and never walk between a doe and her fawns.

Aggressive deer encounters can be reported to Report-A-Poacher at 1-800-642-3800, which the Town said is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Anyone in immediate danger is urged to call 9-1-1.
