SUNDRE — Two Sundre residents face 22 charges, including drug trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unsafe storage of a firearm after RCMP searched a Sundre home on July 21.
Bradley Pearce, 37, and Cassandra Kopp, 21, were arrested as a result of that search.
They were released after judicial interim release hearings and are scheduled to face their charges Aug. 14 in Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury.
Back in April, police began an investigation after receiving information that illegal drugs were being sold at a residence on 10th Avenue in Sundre.
That led to the search on July 21 by Sundre RCMP, with assistance from Olds and Didsbury RCMP. The Southern Alberta Emergency Response Team helped obtain entry into the home.
As a result of the search, the following was seized:
• quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and gamma-hydroxybutric acid (GHB);
• Canadian currency;
• assorted ammunition;
• several firearms and tasers (CEW);
• soft body armour;
• an assortment of edged weapons and other prohibited weapons; and
• drug paraphernalia and drug producing equipment.
Pearce and Kopp were then charged with 22 offences, including:
• trafficking in cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and GHB;
• possession of a prohibited weapon;
• unsafe storage of a firearm
Pearce also faces several charges of failing to comply with probation orders.
