Once again, our Member of Parliament Michael Cooper has put St. Albert on the national radar with his reckless flirtation with right-wing extremists. Already kicked off the justice committee by his own leader for anti-Muslim comments, he now heads to Ottawa to join the convoy of conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, and racists demanding the Senate and Governor General enact a coup d'etat. Meanwhile his constituents here in St. Albert, with one of the highest vaccination rates in the world, continue to use science and common sense to deal with the ongoing pandemic. Is this really the best representative we can send to Ottawa? Science and common sense say, "No."
