LETTER: I will not spend a dime in businesses that did not enforce public-health measures

We're told we are all in this pandemic together. However, some businesses are more invested in doing the right thing than others. To the businesses that have gone above and beyond to protect staff, customers, and community, thank you. I see your efforts and appreciate them so much.

To the others, the ones that did not enforce public-health measures — the head offices, owners and managers who did not provide adequate PPEs, staffing, or employee training, or who did nothing to enforce province law — I see your indifference. I see your lack of humanity. I see the dangerous environment you have created for staff and customers alike.

Be on notice that I have stopped supporting the latter. Long after this pandemic is over, I will not spend a dime in your establishment.

Actions have consequences.
