St. Albert Sturgeon Hospice Association (SASHA) would like to extend its sincere appreciation for the community support received for its Lighting The Way campaign. This was the program to light up the many trees at the Foyer Lacombe Hospice from Nov. 18 to Jan. 18. The lights were able to lift the spirits of those residents of Foyer Lacombe and their families as well as raising funds for SASHA’s many programs, such as the Compassionate Care Volunteer Program, where volunteers support those in the end-of-life situation, as well as those who care for them by providing respite services, education, and other supports.
We would also like to make the community aware of the great need for board members and other volunteers who have a passion for supporting those who are nearing the end of life and their caregivers.
