LETTER: Thank you to Quilts of Love, Citadel staff, health-care workers

'I see you and I thank you.'
letter-sta

At a time when we hear a lot about what people are against, I want to give a shout out for things I'm for.

I appreciate generous and loving folks such as the Quilts of Love group who lovingly made quilts for long-term care residents for Christmas. My mom was given one. She may not remember the dozens of quilts she made, but I do, and for that I thank you.

I also appreciate the warm hug of care the Citadel Care Centre has wrapped around my mom. From front line to administration, they have kept her not only safe but created a place she feels she belongs. Thank you.

And finally, I appreciate the health-care workers who have worn PPE to keep my mom and all the residents safe, who have been tested numerous times to ensure a safe environment, who isolated with symptoms when it may not have been easy to do so. I see you and I thank you.

Leanne MacMillan, St. Albert
