As frigid temperatures persist into the week, Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools (GSACRD) announced Sunday its school buses would not be running Monday.

A notice posted to the GSACRD website said all rural and urban transportation services for the schools would be cancelled Monday, "due to the current severe weather conditions we are experiencing in the area."

Meanwhile, St. Albert Public Schools had not cancelled buses as of Sunday night but had posted a warning on its Facebook page that buses may not start.

"Please consider driving your children to school on Monday or have a backup plan in place," the post stated.

Sturgeon Public stated that the cold temperatures mean some of its buses will not be running. Parents can check the status of Sturgeon Public's buses here.
