One person is dead and another was severely injured after a shooting on a rural property in Redwater Saturday night.
Redwater RCMP said in a media release Sunday that officers responded to a firearms complaint at about 9:46 p.m. Saturday night with the help of Morinville and Fort Saskatchewan RCMP.
Upon arrival, they found two victims. One, female, was deceased; the other, male, has been transported to hospital via ambulance, where he remains.
RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
RCMP say there is no concern for public safety and that the incident was isolated.
