RCMP trying to identify three individuals alleged to have robbed a St. Albert convenience store.

The St. Albert RCMP department are trying to identify three suspects involved in a robbery that took place at a local convenience store on New Years Eve.

According to a Jan. 17 RCMP release, at about 10:00 p.m. on New Years Eve, three individuals robbed a convenience store on Forest Drive, making off with an unknown amount of cash.

“Three unknown males, two who were wearing white coveralls and masks and the third male dressed in all black, entered a convenience store on Forest Drive,” the release reads. “Two of the culprits dressed in white sprayed bear spray around the store and towards the store employee while the third male dressed in black stood guard at the door.”

“The suspects started throwing items around the store and then grabbed an undisclosed amount of money that was on the counter before exiting the store.”

RCMP are also looking to speak with the individual who attempted to block the suspect's vehicle from leaving the store after the robbery, the release says.

“Police believe the unknown citizen may have information regarding the suspects and or the vehicle they drove off in,” the release reads.

“St. Albert RCMP is asking anyone who has information about this convenience store robbery or the good samaritan that tried to help, to contact St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.”
