Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Doug passed away on November 17, 2020.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Mary; children, Carolyn (Kevin) Husky and Chris (Terri); grandchildren, Kiera, Keaton, Nate, Cort and Trigg; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Doug was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Joan on July 25, 2020 and father, Lloyd.
No service will be held, and cremation has taken place.
Upon Doug’s request, his ashes will be returned to the earth, alongside Joan, united together, surrounded by nature’s presence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug’s name to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6G 1Z2 or the Canadian Wildlife Federation, 350 Michael Cowpland Drive, Kanata, Ontario, K2M 2W1.
