Liz de Hek sadly announces the passing of her beloved husband Hendrik de Hek on January 15, 2021 at the age of 49. He passed after a valiant, four and a half year, battle with leukemia, its treatment, and the resulting complications. He is survived by Liz, his two sisters Susan de Hek and Kathy Leachman, and his brother Adriaan de Hek, as well as their respective spouses, Bruce, Roger, and Lani and his two nieces and nephew, Kristin, Madelaine, and Harrison. He was predeceased by his parents Lally and Hendrik de Hek (senior).
In accordance with Hendrik’s wishes and Covid-19 restrictions no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, Hendrik previously expressed that he would like people to donate to their favourite animal charity should they choose to do so.
