Ada Hale, beloved mom, grandma and great grandma, passed away on Monday, March 18th 2024 at the age of 94 years old. Ada was born at home near Major, Saskatchewan on June 28th, 1929 and resided along side her husband Bill, on the family farm west of Crossfield for most of her life. Ada was the quintessential farm woman and grandma and took pride in her home and community. Her love of gardening, the colour pink and desserts will be remembered fondly by her family. 

 

Ada is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Lyle (Brenda) and Brent (Kim); four grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Lani (Tyler) and Chad (Jacquelyn); six great grandchildren, Rhett, Sadie, Jasper, Willa, Ivy and Daisy; and sister, Mae Hawkins and many nieces and nephews. Ada was predeceased by her loving husband JW (Bill) Hale in 2014. 

 

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Rocky View Lodge in Crossfield, Alberta for providing Ada with such a wonderful place to call home for the last years of her life.  A special note of appreciation to the kind staff at the Acute Care Ward of the Didsbury Hospital for their compassion during her final days.

 

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Ada's memory may be made to Crossfield and Madden Food Hamper Program, c/o The Town of Crossfield, PO Box 500, Crossfield, AB T0M 0S0 or The Rocky View Lodge, PO Box 159 Crossfield, AB T0M 0S0 A Celebration of Life will be held at Crossfield Community Centre on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
