March 31, 1946 – April 24, 2024

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 with family by his side.

Robert will be sadly missed by his wife Valerie; their sons, Chad (Sheila), Ryan (Sarah), Val’s son Mark (Lila); grandchildren, Rachel, Robbie, Jackson, and Kyle. Robert’s brother Ross (Wendy); and numerous nieces, nephews and fur children.

Self-employed and self-reliant, Robert was known for his sharp intelligence and his innate ability to fix just about anything—a true handyman. His work not only provided for his family but also carved out a legacy of dedication and excellence.  Robert’s passions painted the picture of a man who loved life and knew how to live it. His love for hot rods reflected his zest for speed and craftsmanship. Camping at the lake surrounded by family or at a Rod Run with many life long friends, filled up many weekends throughout the summer, while his prowess on the curling rink and the golf course revealed a competitive spirit balanced by camaraderie and sportsmanship. Coffee time was more than a routine for Robert; it was a daily ritual where stories were shared, debates were had, and the problems of the world were solved over the rich aroma of a freshly brewed cup.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Sturgeon and Misericordia Hospitals, Capital Care Lynnwood (Alzheimer’s unit) for the incredible care they gave to Robert.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
