Anita B. Holthaus
March 10, 1938 – April 14, 2022

Anita B. Holthaus (Hajek), 84 of Port Hadlock, Washington passed away on April 14th, 2022. She lived a wonderful life and was able to travel to Europe and across the United States several times. Anita grew up in Hythe, Alberta,Canada, and considered Westlock her true home and wished to be buried at the Westlock Cemetery with her parents (Fred and Lena Hajek) and sister (Shirley Hajek Schlayer). Anita enjoyed painting, stained glass, playing the piano, camping, riding ATVs, & dune buggies, traveling, watching movies, and attending to her garden. Anita studied nursing in England with her sister, then later studied Microbiology at Long Beach State University, California. Anita loved life and always put others first before her own needs. She often talked about growing up in Canada and spoke about her father working for the railroad managing rail stations and helping those who were less fortunate. At a young age, Anita learned how to use the telegraph.

Anita is survived by her son, James; daughter, Teresa; granddaughter, Katitza; and two brothers, Gary Hajek, and Robert Hajek.

She was preceded in the death of her son, Michael Anthony Holthaus, her sister and parents. Everyone that knew Anita will truly miss her kindness and sense of humor.

A celebration of life will be held for Anita on August 10th, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Westlock Cemetery.
