It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Jeanne Lutgen of Sturgeon County on Monday, January 24, 2022, at the age of 68.
Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Wayne; and children; Christy Lee (Shawn), David (Sarah), Daniel (Tara), Gary (Danielle), and Robert. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren; Bella, Reid, Cohen, Avery, Seth, Mataya, Easton, Matthew, Hunter, Blake, and Andrew. Jeanne is also survived by her siblings; Paul (Terry), Eileen (Sam), Raymond (Corine), Gordon (Michelle), Henry, Ernest (Marie), Denis (Carol) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Kathleen Verbeek, her sister Rita, and brother Gary.
Jeanne was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She took tremendous pride in her 5 children as well as her 11 grandchildren who will fondly remember her as “Grandma Chicky”. She managed all this with the patience rivaling that of a saint. Jeanne was loving, kind, a confidant, and provided an endless amount of support to the many of hearts that she touched.
Jeanne was a humble servant of The Father’s House church. She devoted countless hours helping and providing support where she could. She walked with Jesus everyday of her life, without doubt and never swayed, with a faith that would move mountains in us and countless others.
Now Jeanne is with her Lord and saviour and she has received her crown. It is our turn to live life to the fullest and keep her legacy alive. Until we meet again, our dearest.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 5th at The Father’s House Church, 55521 Range Road 254, Sturgeon County, Alberta. The Church is operating at 1/3 capacity.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Jeanne Lutgen’s name to Operation Smile Canada or The Father’s House Sturgeon County.
