Arlene Ann (Rehman) Murdock, born on March 18, 1951, at Lloydminster Hospital, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024. She was the beloved third child of Rudy and Emma (Gaida) Rehman. Arlene's journey through life was marked by resilience, a commitment to learning, and the enduring bonds of friendship and family.

Growing up, Arlene attended Marsden School until grade ten, after which she completed grades eleven and twelve at the Convent in Rosetown, Sask. Her pursuit of education continued at Robertson Business College in Saskatoon, where she earned her credentials as a legal secretary. Arlene's dedication to personal and professional growth was evident throughout her career. She worked for the Teachers Federation, the Red Deer Advocate, Dawe Center, Window Masters, and the Red Deer Regional Hospital Administration before retiring from Servus Credit Union in 2021. Always eager to expand her knowledge, she also took courses at Red Deer College to stay updated in her field.

Arlene's life was not without challenges, as she battled health issues, including bone deterioration. Despite these difficulties, she remained steadfast and determined, embodying a spirit of resilience that inspired those around her.

Beyond her professional achievements, Arlene cherished her relationships with family and friends. She maintained lifelong friendships with Diane (Bosch) Scott, Julie (Mitchel) Paquette, and Linda Piper, as well as a special bond with Dr. Yvonne Buchanan-Sedun and her daughter Trinity. Arlene's travels, holiday celebrations, and shared moments with loved ones were a testament to the warmth and depth of these connections.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother George and Margaret Rehman and their family, sister Dolores Hollinghead and her family, as well as nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Arlene was predeceased by her parents, Rudy and Emma Rehman, sister-in-law Mary Rehman, brother-in-law Garth Hollingshead, niece Sandra Rehman, and nephew-in-law Jeff White.

A funeral service to honor Arlene's life will be held on June 8, 2024, at 1:00 PM in Neilburg, Sask. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice. Condolences may be emailed to George Rehman at [email protected].

Arlene Ann (Rehman) Murdock will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her resilience, lifelong pursuit of knowledge, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her.
