1937 - 2024
Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, & friend, Robert Arthur Robinson passed away with his family by his side on February 22, 2024 at the age of 86 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Monica Alina (nee Chezzi); children: Kelly Anne (Leig) & Thomas Robert (Yasna); grandchildren: Robert Arthur & Cole Jackson; great grandson, Jones Thomas; sisters: Margaret (Albert) & Myrna (Brian).
He was predeceased by his 3 brothers: Kenneth, Hilliard, & Murray; and both of his parents: Thomas Wilfred & Margaret Marion Bridget O’Grady.
Robert was born at home on the family dairy farm in Sudbury, ON. He was the second oldest of 6 children. His post secondary education included red seal Journeyman Machinist with a Teachers Certificate from University of Toronto. This profession led him to building airplanes for Douglas Aircraft in Toronto, and then later when he moved his family to Alberta, for Northwest Industries at the Municipal Airport in Edmonton. Which then progressed, as it does living in Alberta, to the oil & gas field. He was an avid athlete throughout his life & loved the outdoors. He was always involved in his community from coaching sports for his children to being a member of the Knights of Columbus.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at 1:00 PM in Holy Family Catholic Church, 75 Poirier Avenue, St. Albert, Alberta.
Memorial Donations may be made in Robert Arthur's name to Foyer Lacombe Hospice, 1 St. Vital Ave., St. Albert, AB. Website: linkte.ee/foyerlacombe.
