Allan Edward Schaeffer
1939-2022
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Allan Edward Schaeffer. After a valiant battle with cancer, he passed away surrounded by family on November 21st, 2022 in Athabasca, Alberta at the age of 83 years.
We say goodbye to a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. His kindness, strength, and love for family will be missed by all who knew him.
Allan is survived by and lovingly remembered by his wife and partner of 55 years, Brenda; daughter Tamara (Wayne) Kowalchuk; sons: Jeremy (Patty) Schaeffer, Michael (Janet) Warwick, and Kevin (Nilce) Warwick; grandchildren: Derek, Brianna, Paige, Jennifer, Blaine (Kathleen), and Matthew (Jessica); great-grandchildren: Logan, Liam, Bella, Phoenix, and Levi; his sisters: Elizabeth Milligan, Florence Milligan, Diane Hapner, and Barbara DeJong.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Alexander Schaeffer; daughter Crystal Schaeffer; son Frederick Warwick; his brothers: John, Fred and Norman; and his sisters: Mathilda and Minnie.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1st, 2022 at 11:00 am at Athabasca Community Chapel in Athabasca, Alberta with Pastor Joe Kuraitis officiating. Following the service, Allan will be laid to rest at Cache Creek Cemetery in Athabasca County.
