Sandra Lynn Darrington, affectionately known as Sandy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024, at the age of 73, in St. Albert, AB. Born on March 21, 1951, in Nipawin, SK, Sandy was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who knew her.
Sandy's life was marked by her unwavering kindness and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved. She was the beloved wife of Lloyd, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Michael and David, who were the pride of her life. Sandy cherished every moment spent with her friends, family and loved ones, including Bruce and Pam, and the rest of the Wabamun crew.
Her Fort McMurray and St. Albert home was always filled with the sweet aromas of her baking and the sounds of laughter and music, as entertaining was one of her greatest joys. Also a great lover of animals, especially dogs.
A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 in St. Albert Funeral Home (9 Muir Drive, St. Albert).
Her spirit and legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her gracious heart and through the love she so freely gave. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the SPCA.
