It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Hingston, who died November 28, 2023, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Gene Zwozdesky Centre at Norwood, as a result of renal cell carcinoma.

Angela was born to Robert and Patricia Overton (Green) in Birmingham, UK; and is survived by her sister Barbara; and brother Peter; both living in the UK.

Angela will be missed and forever cherished by Alan, her loving husband of 51 years; daughter Amy (Darren), and twin boys Andrew (Lindsay), and Steven; grandchildren: Maeve, Emmett, Jacob, and Ethan.

Angela worked for the City of Edmonton for 35 years in the planning department. In her retirement, she served on the board of the St. Albert Family Resource Centre.

 

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, on December 14, 2023, at 10:00 A.M.

The family wish to send a special thank you to the AHS staff who attended Angela during her nearly three-year battle with cancer. In particular, Dr. Basappa and his oncology team at the Cross Cancer Institute.
