It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dean Nordholt leaving behind family and many friends.

Dean was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Gail Nordholt, his youngest brother David and most recently, his life partner, Cheryl Schilder, in January/23.

He is survived by his sister Kim Creighton, her husband Rick (nieces Jenine, Dani and Morgan) his brother Dan (niece Regan and nephew Jesse). In addition, Dean is survived by Cheryl’s son Alex and his two sons, Carter and Ryker.  Dean had a huge love for dogs and is currently survived by his pal Elmo.  Dean was a very social man and also leaves behind a number of very close long-time friends.

Dean’s working life followed in his father’s footsteps and was always in the floor covering industry. The past 25 years was spent with Goodfellow Inc in Edmonton where he made many close friends and clients.

Dean loved his yard, flowers and most assuredly, his garden which always produces vast amounts of yummy vegetables that he was always willing to share with friends.

Dean was an avid outdoorsman and was introduced to the outdoors by his father, spending the majority of his life hunting and fishing at the family property at Fawcett Lake. His claim to fame was catching a 241 lb Halibut in BC.

Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the SPCA or Edmonton Humane Society.

Arrangements will be made for a remembrance at a later date.
