Dolores Pearl Rahn (Besler) of Didsbury, AB passed away on January 3, 2023 at the age of 87 years. Dolores was born March 23, 1935 in Weyburn, SK to parents Adolph and Pauline (Martin) Besler. She was the youngest of 7 children, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.  She grew up on the family farm west of Weyburn, SK where she had fond memories of these years playing with her many pets & siblings. She graduated from the Weyburn Colligate in 1952, and then attended Hillcrest Christian College in Medicine Hat, AB and graduated in 1956.

While attending Hillcrest she met Clifford Rahn and they were married on Aug 29, 1958 in the Evangelical Church in Weyburn. They spent their first 2 years of married life in Vancouver, BC and then moved to Portland, Oregon USA where Cliff attended Cascade College to begin his studies for his call to the ministry and Dolores worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital. While in Portland God blessed them with a son, Carl. They returned to Canada and their first ministerial posting was in Leader, SK where they served for 3 years. While in Leader God blessed them with a second son, Calvin. They would continue to serve in another 3 churches namely Caster, AB; Vulcan AB & Didsbury, AB.

After Cliff passed away in 2011 Dolores remained in Didsbury to be near to her family & many friends. She loved singing in the choir and other church related activities. She will be remembered for her love of family, her willingness to give of herself and her wonderful sense of humor.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her children Carl (Brenda) Rahn and Calvin (Cindy) Rahn, her grandchildren Zachary, Joseph (Lauren), Andrew and Lucas Rahn, her brother Walter (Eileen) Besler of Weyburn, SK and her brother in-law & sister in-law Wes & Adina Rahn of Abbotsford, BC as well as many cherished friends. She is predeceased by her sisters Alma, Irene, Lydia & Esther and her brother Gordon.

A private inurnment was held at the Didsbury Cemetery prior to her Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Jan 10, 2023 at the Zion Evangelical Missionary Church with Pastor Colin Creighton officiating.
